The XTZ Cinema SUB 2X12 Edge combines the extreme performance with dual 12-inch XTZ Cinema woofer drivers and the heavily braced cabinet from the Cinema SUB 3X12, with the power, sound quality, and DSP optimization from the XTZ SA-1 ICEpower Class-D amplifier with 1045 Watts of peak power, and can reach up to 122 dB SPL in free field measurements (CEA-2010-A).
The rigid trapezoidal cabinet features a sleek design with a special anti-reflection paint applied in eight layers and polished to a refined surface that reduces glare, while maintaining an exclusive high-end appearance.
With pre-programmed EQ modes, adjustable parametric EQ (PEQ), and the ability to use it as either a vented or sealed subwoofer, it can easily be customized for different room sizes, matched with various sound systems, and personal preferences.

Deep Bass Extension Down to 16Hz
EQ & Custom Port Tuning for Room Matching
1045W Peak Power for Explosive Dynamics
2x Cinema Series Driver for Extreme Precision
XLR + RCA Inputs for Studio Compatibility
The Cinema SUB 2X12 Edge uses two 12" High-Speed Ultra-Long-Stroke drivers engineered for extreme dynamics and control. Each cone is constructed from long-fiber pulp reinforced with polymer and paired with a high-strength motor optimized for deep excursion and low distortion.
Custom-designed high-output drivers
Long-fiber pulp cones with polymer reinforcement and dual pole design for speed and strength.
Motor and suspension optimized for control
Massive motor structure, aluminum shorting rings, and KLIPPEL-refined suspension deliver low distortion and tight tracking.
Dual-driver configuration
Two drivers share the load for higher SPL with reduced distortion and improved thermal handling.

At the heart of the SUB 2X12 EDGE is the XTZ SA-1 ICEpower® amplifier with 1045 W peak power delivers extreme dynamics with high efficiency. With 117 dB SNR and high damping factor, it offers exceptional control and massive headroom. An advanced DSP enables deep customization and precision tuning.
Precision DSP
Dual-core processor with 56-bit resolution enables fast, real-time driver correction and response shaping.
Three EQ presets and PEQ
Three EQ presets allow quick tuning to suit different rooms or tastes, while the built-in parametric EQ offers fine control between 30–120 Hz for flattening a peak or enhancing a specific range.
Flexible connectivity
RCA and XLR I/O with passthrough support.
Whether you're integrating into a home cinema, or a stereo setup, the Cinema SUB 2X12 Edge provides multiple tools to shape its bass response. These include three EQ profiles, parametric EQ (PEQ) and port tuning (vented/sealed).
Combining an EQ profile, with having the cabinet sealed or vented, allows you to adapt the subwoofer’s performance to your room acoustics, speaker setup, and personal preference.
REF and EQ filters
EQ1 and EQ2 work as room gain compensation, mainly in mid-sized to smaller rooms, while REF maintains max performance down to 16 Hz, for larger rooms and advanced correction.
Port open
Max extension and SPL with increased low-end output.
Port plugged
Tighter, more controlled bass with earlier roll-off and sealed-box behavior.

The onboard DSP includes three selectable EQ profiles to quickly adapt the subwoofer to your room or content. Each preset adjusts the system’s frequency response and extension characteristics.
REF
Flat response for full-range extension and maximum fidelity.
EQ1
Slightly reduced low-end extension for tighter bass and boundary compensation.
EQ2
Reduced low-end extension for tighter bass and boundary compensation in smaller rooms.
The built-in parametric EQ (PEQ) lets you correct a room-induced peak or null with precision. It allows manual adjustment of frequency, and gain to achieve a smoother in-room response.
Adjustable frequency range
Target a frequency between 30–120 Hz to correct the problem area.
±9 dB gain control
Boost or cut as needed to flatten the response curve.
Compatible with measurement tools
Use room measurement tools like REW or XTZ Room Analyzer II Pro to visualize your room’s acoustic response and guide your PEQ adjustments.

Based on the heavily braced cabinet design of the SUB 3X12, the SUB 2X12 Edge cabinet can handle the extreme forces of two high-output woofer drivers. Its trapezoidal shape reduces standing waves, while thick MDF panels and multi-layer damping minimize resonance.
Reinforced cabinet structure
25 mm MDF walls with 55 mm thick front and base, plus 40 mm bracing for high rigidity.
Internally damped and insulated
Multiple layers of insulation and internal baffling reduce unwanted resonance.
Finished for visual discretion
Matte black anti-reflective lacquer and Nextel-coated side panels blend into dark cinema rooms.
Cinema SUB 2X12 Edge
Up to 128.5 dB SPL @ 1m PEAK (+/- 0.5 dB)
Up to 122.5 dB SPL @ 2m PEAK (+/- 0.5 dB)
Up to 119.5 dB SPL @ 2m RMS (+/- 0.5 dB)
Fundamental frequencies
The CEA-2010-A standard calls for measuring the fundamental frequencies 20 Hz, 25 Hz, 31.5 Hz, 40 Hz, 50 Hz and 63 Hz, but it has, more or less, become an industry standard to also measure and report both lower and higher frequencies.
Harmonic distortion
Compared to the fundamental frequency, different levels of distortion set the boundary for what is considered acceptable. The 2nd harmonic frequency should not surpass -10 dB compared to the fundamental, -15 dB for the 3rd, -20 dB for the 4th and 5th, -30 dB for the 6th, 7th and 8th, and -40 dB for the 9th and higher harmonics.
Conversion
Maximum sound pressure level is measured at 2 meters ground plane, in a large, open area outdoors, and can then be referenced (converted) to 2m RMS, 1m PEAK etc. Make sure you use the correct values when comparing to other subwoofers.
