Overview

ICEpower® CLASS-D AMPLIFICATION

Massive Power, High Fidelity, Compact Design

At the core of the EDGE SA-1 lies an advanced ICEpower® Class-D amplifier module. This technology is celebrated for its ability to deliver enormous power with exceptional efficiency and audio fidelity, all from a compact unit.

High Power Output

With 700W RMS and 1045W peak power, the SA-1 provides effortless dynamics and control, ensuring bass remains tight, defined, and impactful even during the most demanding passages.

Exceptional Audio Quality

Boasting an impressive signal-to-noise ratio of 117 dB, this amplifier ensures an incredibly clean signal path, preserving the subtleties and nuances of your audio.

Efficiency & Reliability

Class-D technology ensures high efficiency with low heat generation and minimal power consumption in standby (0.17W) and Idle (22 W).

Advanced DSP Control

Precision Engine for Your Bass

The EDGE SA-1 incorporates a sophisticated Digital Signal Processor (DSP) that acts as the brain of the amplifier, offering extreme control over the subwoofer driver and enabling a suite of powerful tuning options.

Optimized Driver Performance

The DSP actively monitors and adjusts the output to keep the connected subwoofer driver within its ideal operating range, reducing distortion and maximizing performance.

Extensive Sound Customization

Offers foundational sound control with preset and parametric EQ for optimal subwoofer integration into any room and system.

Sound Tuning

Tailor Your Bass to Perfection

The EDGE SA-1 offers comprehensive sound tuning capabilities, allowing you to precisely sculpt the bass response to match your room acoustics, speaker system, and personal listening preferences.

EQ REF (Reference)

Delivers the deepest bass and the most linear frequency response. Ideal for rooms with good acoustics or when using external room correction.

EQ1

Gently rolls off the lowest frequencies to counteract excessive room gain often found in typical listening rooms, resulting in a more controlled and less "boomy" bass.

EQ2

Provides a lift in the upper bass frequencies for a punchier, faster-sounding bass, often preferred for smaller rooms or for a more impactful character.

Built-in Parametric EQ (PEQ)

Manual tuning for your room

The built-in PEQ lets you correct a room-induced peak or null with precision. It allows manual adjustment of frequency, Q (bandwidth), and gain to achieve a smoother in-room response.

Adjustable frequency range

Target a frequency between 30–120 Hz to correct the problem area.

±9 dB gain control

Boost or cut as needed to flatten the response curve.

Compatible with measurement tools

Use room measurement tools like REW or XTZ Room Analyzer II Pro to visualize your room’s acoustic response and guide your PEQ adjustments.

Comprehensive Adjustments

Take Full Control of Your Bass

Dial in the perfect response with advanced adjustments for volume, frequency, and phase.

Volume (Gain)

To perfectly match the subwoofer's output to your main speakers.

Frequency (Low-Pass Filter)

Variable from 30 Hz to 170 Hz, with a bypass option (LPF Off) for use with AV receivers that manage bass.

Phase

Adjustable from 0 to 180 degrees to ensure seamless integration with your main speakers.

Flexible Connectivity and Efficient Operation

The EDGE SA-1 is equipped with the necessary connections and features for versatile system integration.

I took a chans that im not sad for it was a very good choice to buy XTZ Sub Amp SA-1. Mario at Fyndbörsen send me a email and asked if i would use it for. If it was one of XTZs made subwoofers or if i have other thoughts.. I asked why he asked that question and simply explained that he could install the right firmware if it was one specific XTZ sub i build my own with a Dayton Audio 15 model: RSS390HF-4 ok he said that i leave it on the neutral firmware then please dont be afraid to write back if something is on your mind about the sound sure no problem i said. I build a closed enclosure with 22 mm MDF the volume i choosed was 94 Liter +VD 15 Liter stiffened it up with MDF it takes almost noting in vd. Filled upp with maybe about 65% of pollyfill made a thicker wall on the back side so the amp not would have anything who could jam the circuits made a air gap on the under side and of the over side so the little heat that the Amp leaves has some way to ventilate. And now to the listening it didnt take mutch to get the settings right i owned an Earthquake Supernova MKIV that i have refurbished and thougt that sound good... The XTZ Sub Amp SA-1 with Dayton is mutch better sound it goes deep under 20 Hz as nothing now i could heare the sound and feel it before i felt it but it was nothing in compare with this the bass sounds better overall and the SPL are louder and the sound is clean the walls are shaking plenty so i had to make plenty of stuff so the vibrations dont disturb the movie or deep bass notes exelent combo can i say i have heard mutch in my days but that this would be so great i did not know u should try it dont be afraid if it sounds to good.
